i wandered around today for a few hours, took a boat tour, walked around without paying much attention, hoping to get as lost as i could. while on a side street i thought "holy crap man, im so freaking lost" until i read the street sign and realized i was on the same street that i now live on. so much for that. maybe i'll get lost next weekend.
next weekend, you ask? well ladies, gents, and those inbetween, i start work tomorrow. cue coughing and anxiety...where's anthony with his codine when you need him...
anyways. i'm sure i'll do fine.
YOU'LL DO FINE (im just saying it so you all don't have to)
here are some touristy photos i took while on my attempt to get lost:

a little bit of post script:
i'm starting to get used to the whole 'bonjour' thing. however, this is quickly followed by 'what' or 'sorry' when the person i greet starts rambling in French. Maybe I'll take a conversational class...
Also - I had my first taste of swiss chocolate today. It was a chocolate-hazelnut bar. I won't tell you how it good it was, but I will say I kept the wrapper. Lets just say...if a chocolate bar from a newstand tastes like that, then I can't freaking wait for a chocolate from like....a choclate...making place....uh...cue to stop typing.
